As summer kicks into full gear, so does the heat and especially the humidity. In my conversations with so many of you, I have heard about how the “3 H’s” (hazy, hot, and humid) can really take a toll. This week I was looking through some past issues of MSAA’s magazine, The Motivator where I discovered this great article on managing your MS in the heat The author, Shelley Peterman-Schwarz who has MS, shares some of her tips and strategies for beating the heat. I think her tips are easy to use and hope you find them helpful. As always, please share any of your tips to keep cool.

Hello
I read your blog. I live here in the south. I live here in Valdosta Ga which hate. It is so hot down here and what makes it worse is when your AC people do not know how to fix a AC. I have nbeen in and out of the hospital since the first of May. During that time I have had the same AC people try to fix mine. I have to sleep with my cooling vest. That is sad. I work with Walt Dsiney Productions. I train huskies for their movies and television shows. I havt solid white huskies with the blue eyes. My oldiset has been in 2 movies. I have to keep it cool f or them as well. Any suggestions from anybody would help. I am thinking very much about taking a suite out on the AC company.
Hi Dan,
I am sorry to hear of your trouble with the heat this summer. It has been a difficult summer for many this year. Glad you have been able to use the cooling vest to help, very creative to think of sleeping in the vest! Sounds like it might be time to locate a second opinion on your air conditioner. If you need help finding another AC company in your area, remember our client consultants may be able to help. You can reach them toll free at 1 800 532 7667. Great job working with Huskies, they are such lovely animals I hope having them nearby helps lift your spirits when times are tough.
Hang in there Dan, the end of summer is slowly approaching!
